About Us - Speech Therapy for Children

A woman with long dark hair smiling against a gray background.

Hi, I’m Caroline, a dedicated Speech Pathologist and mum with a strong passion for helping children enhance their communication skills, literacy support, and overall confidence in speech and language.

I completed a Master of Speech Pathology at Griffith University and support children with a range of communication needs, including speech sound difficulties, language delays, literacy and reading challenges, stuttering, social communication differences, and school readiness skills.

I am passionate about fostering strong phonics, oral language, and literacy skills, as I recognise the crucial role these areas play in boosting confidence, enhancing learning, and achieving long-term academic outcomes.

At The Reading Speechie, I provide evidence-based support across speech, language, and literacy, while also assisting neurodivergent children and their families with a calm, practical, and personalised approach that emphasises meaningful progress.

I have completed additional training in Sounds-Write, a systematic synthetic phonics approach that supports reading and spelling development, and professional development in speech sound intervention through Rebecca Reinking's Minimal Pairs approach. I have also completed Speech Pathology Australia’s Working with Primary School Students on Literacy course and training in Key Word Sign.

I am committed to ongoing professional learning and evidence-based practice to ensure high-quality, individualised support for children and families.

Originally from Ireland, I now reside in Northern NSW with my husband and two school-aged children. As both a Speech Pathologist and parent, I understand that every child learns differently and that navigating the early years of school and learning can feel overwhelming at times.

My goal is to provide supportive, engaging, and evidence-based therapy that helps children thrive in communication, literacy, and everyday learning.
