Hi, I'm Caroline, a Speech Pathologist and mum with a passion for helping children develop confident communication, literacy and learning skills.

I completed a Master of Speech Pathology at Griffith University and support children with a wide range of communication needs, including speech sound difficulties, language delays, literacy and reading challenges, stuttering, social communication differences, and school readiness skills.

I have a particular interest in literacy and understand the important role that strong oral language and phonics skills play in learning to read and write. My goal is to help children build the foundations they need to become confident communicators and learners.

At The Reading Speechie, I provide evidence-based assessment and therapy tailored to each child's individual strengths, needs and goals. I also enjoy supporting neurodivergent children and their families with a calm, practical and personalised approach.

I am committed to ongoing professional learning to ensure the support I provide reflects current evidence and best practice. My professional development includes Sounds-Write training in systematic synthetic phonics, Rebecca Reinking's Minimal Pairs approach for speech sound intervention, Speech Pathology Australia's Working with Primary School Students on Literacy course, and Key Word Sign training..

Originally from Ireland, I now live in Northern New South Wales with my husband and our two school-aged children. Being both a Speech Pathologist and a parent has given me a deeper appreciation of the joys and challenges families experience. I understand that every child learns differently, and that navigating speech, language and literacy concerns can sometimes feel overwhelming.

My aim is to create a warm, supportive environment where children feel confident to learn and families feel listened to, supported and empowered throughout their journey.
